Species: Pinus resinosa
  • One of Northern Michigan’s most valuable NATIVE conifers

 

  • Often found in the same area as White Pine due to similar growing conditions

 

  • Sandy soil in full to partial sun

 

  • 60’ H x 10’ W They are used for telephone poles and grow that way!

 

  • Seeds of red pines are eaten by songbirds and small mammals

 

  • Fantastic Windbreaks
