- Native to Scandinavia and Germany; closely related to Highbush Blueberry and cranberries
- Edible raw, but used in sauces, jams – much like cranberries
- 10” H x 18” W; spreads by underground rhizomes. Grows well in coastal regions
- Prefers well-drained, acidic soil with organic matter; mulch overwinter with straw and pine needles
- Partial to Full Sun; moderate moisture; drainage important to avoid root rot
- NOT self-pollinating; needs a cross pollinator
