  • This is a native shrub in Northern MI that produces May white flowers that turn to a black edible fruit in the fall

 

  • Very adaptable to most soil types; generally found in bogs or along streams; 36” H x 36” Wide

 

  • Prefers full sun to partial shade – best berry production in full sun

 

  • Grow on woodland edges as it will produce suckers and will spread. Remove suckers yearly to control

 

  • Berries are packed with vitamin C and antioxidants – reportedly 18 times better than blueberries. Very acidic so used for jams, jelly, juice and wine
