· Long living but must be protected from wildlife when young – 150 years old!

· Peeling bronze bark with a large canopy of bright yellow leaves in fall

· This is a single trunk birch

· 75’ H x 30’ canopy; slow growing

· Yellow Birch prefers moist well-draining soils –sand based loam is perfect

· Full sun to partial shade; sun important when young to get tree up and growing
