·         European type Plum – Purple skinned medium large fruit.  Excellent Flavor and High Sugar content makes for terrific fresh eating, drying and canning

·         Bluebyrd Plum has great resistance to black knot disease – variety developed at a USDA Agricultural Station

·         Not a self-pollinator – needs another European plum

·         Full Sun; loamy well-draining soil
